Dr. Raena Lu graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern California University of Health Science in 2013 and immediately began her career as a chiropractor at a multidisciplinary practice in Los Angeles. While working with patients suffering from both acute and chronic conditions, she observed the most positive results when routine adjustments were combined with soft tissue rehabilitation and home exercises and decided to further her study of dynamic motion and soft tissue therapy by becoming a Certified Graston Practioner. At Best Chiropractic, she is passionate about utilizing Applied Kinesiology (AK) as her primary diagnostic tool and became certified in December 2017.
Originally born in Tokyo, Japan, but raised in Orange County, she speaks both English and Japanese fluently. She lived in Los Angeles to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies at Loyola Marymount University, but currently resides in Irvine with her 3-year-old daughter.
During her time in chiropractic school, she interned at Venice Family Clinic in Santa Monica and also at California State University, Los Angeles. Summer before she graduated, she traveled with Mission Life International to provide chiropractic care to the people of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
